What a lovely and interesting museum! We loved looking around, we also had a tractor ride and my 6 year old loved it. We had cake and tea at the cafe which was delicious. They allow dogs too which is a bonus. The craft shops were also lovely to look around. Next opening (and last for this year) is in October and then they open again at Easter I think.

Overall a great place to visit the staff are generally friendly and informative…..But being told you can’t get off halfway on the tractor ride to the windmill and walk into the village ( because of insurance?) is a bit daft and infuriating , spoilt what was a great visit

Very interesting if you are from the area. Also great to chat with people about their displays. Took my mum last year who loved looking at the things she remembered from her childhood. Went with my sister this time. She had a go at bobbin lace making and bought a starter kit at a very reasonable price. Also had a go at pottery I had a go at rug making. Something I'll take up in winter.

Wonderful place with a direct view into the past. It is great to speak with all the volunteers who are generally very knowledgeable. The blacksmith and pottery are a must see and do. The computer room was great showing my kids what technology was like when I grew up . Fascinating place.

Our family love visiting. The museum is run by very friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. There’s a small fee to enter but parking on site is free. Always great displays for the family as well as mini train ride and tractor ride out to the windmill. Plenty of space to have a picnic or buy very reasonably priced food from the cafe. Minimal vegan options. Vendors also there selling homemade bits. Can easily spend a couple hours here.

The museum was a treat for me. The vintage automobiles are reason enough to visit by themselves. The antique electronic devices was a reminder of my work in the Navy many years before. The people were very pleasant: they seemed to enjoy talking to me as much I enjoyed talking to them. Then there was the "engines" , etc, etc.
